Andrew Howard's Tributes to Elvis and Frank
Sinatra
Andrew Howard started impersonating Elvis
in October of 2000 as a Halloween gag. He entered his first contest at a
local Karaoke bar in March of 2001
He lost, but didn't give up. He continued in May of
2001 at a local Elvis festival in Red Bank NJ. Andrew started to look into
the Life of Elvis Presley and besides the fancy jumpsuits, what attracted
Andrew was Elvis' Charity for people.

Andrew then, redirected his impersonating to offer
charity Elvis shows for fundraisers with the finesse of a professional
show. Andrew continued to tour nursing homes and hospitals. He received
his first big break from a friend named Diane Lord, who asked him to
perform a charity show for AIDS patients in Dec 2001 at a local shelter.
After that, his career took on a whole new look.

Andrew as Frank at Toms River a fund-raiser for The
Arc, Ocean County Chapter, which was held Jan. 21 at the Toms River Elks
Lodge with ETA's Gene Dinapoli and Barbara Del Piano |
He
realized that doing Elvis was more then just singing, that people could
actually be touched by music and the kindness that Elvis himself shared with
his fans.
Andrew continued singing for another year and also realized
that most Elvis impersonators are looked down upon, that many are really
true artists. He started to gather fans for a yearly convention in Toms
River NJ. In the 3 years of the " Friends of Elvis®" convention, over 1,000
fans have attended the event. This show offers a whole days events
surrounding the Life of Elvis and always donates a percentage back to
charity.

Andrews singing and knack for organization has attracted several people
in the community including artists, like Bill Turner of Bill Haley and
the Comets.
