Joe Mendonca has been an Elvis Tribute Artist for 7
years. The first time he heard Elvis singing, he was roller skating to
his number one hit "That's All Right Mama" ; Joe was 6 years old;
from then on he was hooked. All through school, the Army, and since,
people have called him Elvis.

Joe is one of those lucky few that had met Elvis .
It was in Lake Tahoe, at Caesar's Palace, in 1973, at a dinner show. A
man, a bodyguard of Elvis's informed him that "Mr. Presley wants to
see you in his dressing room". Joe was stunned, but got up and went
with him.
One of the guards said Elvis is just like any of us, and
he is a down to earth type of guy. When Joe got there, Elvis said " Where
have you been Jesse?" (Elvis' twin Brother Jesse, who died at birth.) Joe
said, " No Elvis, My name is Joe. Elvis said " If I died tomorrow you, would
be doing what I am doing right now ", and Joe said "I don't think so."

Now Joe does eight different shows. He does the complete Aloha show , That's
The Way It Is Show, Live In Madison Square Garden show, and five different
Vegas type shows. Plus, he does gospel shows, promotional appearances,
Christmas shows, competitions, fund raisers, and many volunteer performances
throughout the community.
In addition to all that, Joe also performs for Birthdays, Weddings,
Corporate parties, OSU (Oregon State University) Events, and any other
function, both public and private.
Joe is down to earth and tries to have a pleasant experience no matter what
he does!
