For Michael Marchitto of Monmouth Beach, it was a 37 foot fall at a construction site that shattered his heel and impaired his hearing, putting him on permanent disability.

Finding himself with allot of extra time, The dream he was able to pursue was to be an Elvis Presley impersonator.

In March Marchitto went to watch an Elvis contest at Caffery's forked river and in a make shift costume qualified for the finals and came in first place.

Charities Mike has worked with.

Helped raise over $11,000.00 for the survivors of the WTC

Helped raise $6,000 For CEREBRAL PALSY Association.

Helped raise over $1,000 dollars for Ocean County ARC on Jan 4th 2004.

Mike came in 4th at Riverfest Red Bank over 19 other Impersonators. He was noticed by the Band Blue Smoke who invited him to sing in the Atlantic Highlands..............
